Rebeca Santos

Rebeca Santos graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in December 2025 with a major in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Marketing, which complements her knowledge and passion for innovation in the creative field. As a visual communicator and marketer, Rebeca strives to connect the research field with the public in an accessible, effective, and user-friendly manner. Santos’ professional career started in 2022 with RATES as a student assistant through a partnership with UTRGV.  She started working for the College of Sciences at UTRGV as a digital student assistant, in which she got experience as web developer, project manager, and team leadership. She started an internship for RATES in July 2025, and by January 2026, she became a full time employee.
Some of the software programs from the Adobe Suite Rebeca uses in a regular basis include Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Lightroom Classic. Rebeca aims to continue pursuing her higher education to become a well-rounded artist.
